Mission
The Central Florida Law Enforcement Explorer Academy is truly dedicated to educating the youth of law enforcement. It is not our
intention to train Explorers to be police officers. In fact, we are well aware that many Explorers change career paths after
experiencing law enforcement first hand. We hope to expose our students to all aspects of law enforcement in order to expand their
minds and broaden their career choices. Additionally, we hope to give Explorers a basic understanding of law enforcement related
work so the Explorer may better serve his/her agency and in turn, the community.
Social Activities
In keeping with the Boy Scouts standards, the Academy also holds fun activities in the hopes to bring the students together outside
the Academy environment. Friends made here will last over many years, both professionally and socially. These activities may
include: a theme park trip, state park trip, etc.
Awards and Graduation
Although the course of instruction for the Academy is not considered a competition, those Explorers who excel in certain areas are
recognized for their efforts. Those areas are:
1. Top Academics
2. Best Tactical
3. Top Gun
