

Welcome to Explorer Post 517
Explorer Post 517 is a cooperative relationship between the Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the Boy
Scouts of America. Youth between the ages of 14 to 20 are given an opportunity to learn about law enforcement
and develop leadership skills. Members of Explorer Post 517 have an opportunity to compete in national
Explorer competitions and have ranked nationally in pistol shooting. Explorers are the 2011 F.A.P.E. State Pistol
Champions. Graduates are eligible to receive a college scholarship from PAL and monetary assistance towards the
costs of the Law Enforcement Academy.

Donation Button will be applied as donations, not program registration fees. Contact the individual program directors
